Analytics and Visualizations

The visualizations for each page are dynamically created based on the choice of WiFi access by user or devices, day, building, and time period using standard R packages. The map was created using Leaflet.

Campus WiFi Overview

This is a map created in leaflet that show the building's number of users or devices with a geographic bubble map visual. The user can select users or devices, day, building type, time period, and dot size being proportional to the population or all the same size.

Campus WiFi Dashboard

This page has four visuals that the user can examine. The top left is a bar graph that shows number of users for each thirty minute interval. The top right is a line plot that shows number of users over time for the selected time interval in thirty minute intervals. The lower left display the devices for each specific device over time throughout our time interval. The lower right shows the count for each device for the entire time period. The user can select from users or devices, day, building type, time period, and (with our most recent addition added) floor number.

There are two graphics on this page. The left allows us to see the number of users per device over time. The chart on the right shows the max number of users for the time interval for each device. The user can select users or devices, day, building type, and time period.

Daily Overview

Our daily overview graphic is a barplot that allows us to see the daily overview for our selected conditions. It shows the number of users over time, in weekly intervals, under the selected conditions. Each bar represents a day of the week. There are two graphics on this page. The left allows us to see the number of users per device over time. The chart on the right shows the max number of users for the time interval for each device. The user can select users or devices, day, building type, and time period.
