Detailed WiFi Overview

The Detailed WiFi Overview page offers the user insight for a specific day for a specific building.

To select our options for the Detailed WiFi Overview page, we use the same selection tools as before. Selecting any option on the Campus WiFi Overview, Campus WiFi Dashboard, and this page will alter the others.

The selectors allow the users to set the customized input. They could choose the date, choose to view the data by user or by device, choose a building type, choose a specific building, and set the threshold usercount. The threshold user count selector is a special thing we add to the detailed WiFi overview tab. It would only show the data of those access points that have their maximum user count throughout the day above the threshold user count. In this way, it could simplify the data to be more focused on the hotspots, make the plot loading faster which could improve the user experience, and also keep the data privacy.

This page contains a graphic of user counts throughout the selected day (red circle) in the selected building. The chart next to it shows the max user count for the day for each wifi access point in the selected building (blue square).

In this page, we could see clearly like what is the hotspots in this specific building according to our WAP data. It also provide a clear summarized table for selected building. So it could solve some problems like what is the exact hottest time and number of users at that time in this building? And What is the exact time range that people are most likely to gather in this building throughout the day ? We could also change the date input, so we could view the data from different day in a week in order to find some patterns in this selected building.
